Mentor or Contractor? Either one will help you. There are many contractors who will not teach you the right things. Remember choose wisely, no matter which one you pick.

The School of Hard Knocks ... we all attended to some degree or another. Dave, your no exception.

When I got my feet wet in this industry ... I knew enought to be dangerous.

It was an old fart who kept me from harm.
And he required movies every week. And a steak now and then.

He was a little rough around the edges, but he sure taught me what I lacked from school.

Maybe that guy who wanted to take you to the movies ... wanted to hold your hand as well?

    maybe not ......

Some guy offered to take me to a movie,

In exchange for refrigeration info, I'd be inclined to think he was running in the wrong lane of the highway.

Maybe getting hired on with a small contractor that needs someone who can learn and has some background might be in order here.

Hey Baltazar .... what kind of HVAC/R screen name is that?

Okay... here's the advice.... find an old fart who will walk you thru this job.
Listen to his every word. Do exactely as he instructs you.
Pay him more than he asks for.
Buy him a steak. Take him to a movie.
If he eyes a neat little tool at the supply house when your BOTH in there buying for this project ... buy him his new toy.

Write down what he tells you for job cost and what he recomends for the project to cost the end user.

Have it in writing what you are attempting to do for this customer and have them sign it.
Get money up front in stages based upon completion of specific portions of the project. Oh ... and do it as best you can.

I have never touched a working jet engine. However, if I had a seasoned Mentor right beside me, I wouldnt hesitate to embark upon tearing into that engine.
Your doing the same thing here. Use the services of a Mentor who will walk you thru.

Not talk you thru. WALK you thru! There's a major difference. DO NOT learn this the hard way!

what exactly do you need help with?
if you are not familiar with the whole job, start to finish, let someone experienced do it, it is too complicated to explain all the piping, controls, etc. in detail on this post, without having seen what you are doing, esp. when you have 4 evaps., do you even need 4?
what size is this box? and you can get yourself into a mess, and then try to collect!!!
