Yeah, what's the deal with 127V power supply? Where the heck do they get that, on a marine vessel?

    Thanks for posting that.

Traulsen did a couple of things which are a bit unusual for a typical reach-in freezer.

One is the compressor relay...or contactor...piloted by the temperature control. I'm not sure why they did this because from all I've run across, a standard Ranco control can easily handle the load, as most other manufacturers would agree. The one exception might be True, who in recent years has added a relay similar to Traulsen.

The other, and even more bizarre item, is that step-down transformer. I fail to see the reasoning behind that. With a supply of 110 VAC you'd be feeding unit with under 100 VAC. Weird.

This is just a guess, but it seems to me one of the Klixons would have to be an evaporator fan delay and one would have to be a defrost heater safety limit. However, most freezers I work on have a 3-wire Klixon for defrost termination and fan delay and a 2-wire Klixon safety limit. Does your defrost clock have defrost termination?

So, is this a 1992 reach-in? Because the only wiring diagrams I have for Traulsen G-Series reach-ins are microprocessor controlled with sensors.

Does yours have a defrost clock?
