The best thing to do, in all seriousness, is to have a marketing campain that puts YOU in front of people often. Repetion is key to marketing.

So, be it ads in the newspaper, radio ads, mailing, or whatever you choose, be sure it is something you can do often. You may also think about SMS marketing (text marketing). There are many companies that offer it, in various prices.

It really boils down to your marketing budget, and how invloved YOU want to be in it.

I tried some mailings...didn't get many bites. Of course quality of work is a given. Have gotten some work from word of mouth already. I think the weather is making it tough. It's been beautiful out. Thanks though guys.

Common sense, but once you start doing work, make sure you do quality jobs. Doing a quality job will help your business spread by word of mouth. You'd be surprised how many side jobs my instructor gets by not even looking, because past clients have recommended him to their friends/family.

use door knob hangers with your buisiness info
on the houses in the block where you are doing installs/changeouts.

mailings offering discount on check ups on systems.

Need some advice.

Hello everyone. I'm a new business owner in south FL looking for some advice...While I do have some work coming in, it just seems like it's not enough. If that makes any sense. Some days I have work...others I don't. I have been pounding the pavement and talking to everyone one I can..and handing out business cards like it's cool. I don't know what else to do. I know I can get more info in the pro forums but that's a little ways away. So I will take any advice you guys can give me here. Thanks, I really appreciate it.
