Stupid is as stupid does:

TRIPOLI, Libya — Libyans angry over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad rioted Friday at the Italian consulate, storming the building and setting it on fire. A diplomat said at least 10 people were killed in clashes with police

The riot appeared to be a reaction to Italian Cabinet Minister Roberto Calderoli, who said this week he would wear a T-shirt printed with the cartoons, which have provoked protests across the Muslim world.

Calderoli wore the T-shirt Friday beneath a suit. Hours later, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi asked for his resignation, the ANSA news agency reported.




With all that has happened over these cartoons, WHY WOULD SOMEONE even consider wearing a t-shirt in public with an image of the cartoons? Stupid? Now he may as well get one with a red/white target on it.

Why would someone in a Cabinet position even remark about the absurdity of the rioters? Stupid? And face the prospect of losing one's job with a protest? Stupid?

I just don't get it. But are those t-shirts available on ebay? Thinking of late valentines gift for wifey.
