One of my instructors at school told me about it and I think it is the greatest source of HVAC info there is.There has got to be hundreds of yrs of exp. on here.Sometimes its just fun to read if you are not trying to learn something or pick up some knowledge.

I liked alt.hvac for a while but there is just too
much bashing and fighting over there. I feel that 90% of the time a poster asks a question over there they get the crap beat out of them by someone who thinks that they are God's Gift to the HVAC World and How dare a POS homeowner ask a question?

Hey, I'm a homeowner too and if I ever would like to post a question to say, "Roofing.com," or maybe "Windows are us" I hope not to get treated like you would at alt.hvac. I don't mean to bash them, but they do seem negative and too into themselves.

Since I stumbled here (can't remember how) I rarely ever go back. Maybe I'll give it another chance....
