Suggest <50%RH if any carpeting on concrete to avoid condensation/mold between the pad and concrete. <50%RH also eliminates dust mites in upholstered surfaces like beding and carpeting. Pay attention to the %RH during wet cool weather with low/no a/c load. In green grass climates with adequate inflitration/ventilation, 90 pints of dehumidification per 2,500 sqft. of living space maintains <50%RH without any a/c operation.
thanks alot for the info
Keep humidity under 60% and you will be fine. Have the evap coil inspected once a year.
just got a new 3ton unit installed it replaced a 2.5 ton unit it seems kinda clammy but i might be going thru mid life crisis oh different board anyway got a gauge and its reading 46% humidity with a temp of 75.4 are these numbers okay where i dont need to be concerned about mold and mildew thanks for any info.
