Servicing both units from a ladder I suppose would be daunting. Putting a foot on that platform would scare me away from that. Should have been treated like a deck and secured to the structure as per code. I bet they were still running, but the restriction due to the kinks assuming there were kinks in suction and liquid lines would require attention... LOL My TRANE condensing unit is listing and sinking into the ground. There appears to be a sort of hole going underneath the rear of the concrete pad, but due to their age and my lack of equipment I do not dare touch something that runs so well. Brittle copper and old, but capped schraders scare me since I do not yet possess the core removal tool.

I got to say, this made me chuckle. Surprised to see them sill hanging. That must of been a great service call to roll up on.

It's new housing. They sell the lot and people pick their floorplan. It's like a production line with different sub contractors for every job. Needless to say, Quality of work is not first class.

Wouldn't one have questioned the stability of that deck BEFORE installing units? Just asking...may have needed to put a disclaimer in bid to install, if it ever came up.

Well... we used to say it was hard to stop a Trane... The duck guys wold disagree...

Must mount them sideways to the brick, and mount the compressors upright in the case...

Be funny to just cut the compressors loose and mount them upright inside and leave the units like that.

    "There ya go".

No, no, no, you guys are getting this all wrong. They were building a deck with collapsible legs for easier maintenance. No ladder required.

Makes a good "here's not how to build a deck" instructional video!

Oh yeh, they back-charge the deck guys for 2 new ones, and then put the 'hangers' in rental property somewhere.

I am left asking the same question as motoguy128...

    Were they still running?
