The only problem with a ratchet bender is it doesn't allow bends greater than 90 degrees. I use offset bends entering penetration.and in corners. I also do a lot of piping inside units requiring bends beyond 90. Lever benders also make great p'traps. This is a great cost savings.

as far as brand I had a company supplied yj that was in pretty rough shape but still got the job done. I purchased a mastercool recently and it works all the same and I cant really knock the durability because I havent been using it but a few months

Yes, I love my bow bender, and will never go back! Mine is also made by Yellow Jacket and I do have the reverse bend attachment, have used it, but just once, and it worked well with what I needed it for. Like SCtech said, less chances of leakage and less fittings used!

I don't care for my master cool. It hasn't held up like I expected. The yellow jacket is a much better product.

The one I purchased was made by Yellow Jacket, I have not seen any other manufacturers in my area, I am sure there are others though. The Y.J unit has worked for me for the last 2+ years without a problem. that and the Y.J expander make my life much easier.

x6. I find tubing that is bent much neater. less places for chance of leak, less fittings used, usually quicker, one thing that I love is that on a new lineset or when replacing lineset inso, you can just put the inso back while you bend and you save ugly tape/glue seams. and we all know that using that self-tack glue is not fun. if your an installer I think this is definitely a must have tool.

X5. I really like mine. I can't tell how much I've saved in fittings and sil-fos. To me this is a must have tool.

Is it a dedicated reverse bender or the crappy adaptors? I am looking for a good reverse bender and if i can't find one I will just make one.

The Bow bender will do up to 7/8 in one kit. Not to mention it takes up less room on the truck..
