Hi. I have a question that I was hoping someone could help me with. I have a buderus oil boiler with a logamatic controller, model # R2109 USA. About 75% of the time I hear a clicking noise coming from the inside of the controller. Basically, the controller is turning off and on repeatedly. Its the same clicking sound as when you flip the power switch off and on a bunch of times. I still have heat, so thats good, but I worry that eventually it will turn off for good. Here's a video I took of it acting up. Hopefully this helps.

Basically, I'm just wondering if this is a common problem with these, and if it's something that I need to have looked at ASAP. I also lost my job last month, so if I can delay getting this thing looked at/fixed/replaced for a little while, that would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any help and advise.

I would consider such a noise as abnormal and have it checked out by your professional heating expert. I couldn't tell if one of those circulators was turning on/off/on in conjunction with the relay or not. It could be a faulty zone valve end switch. Try turning all of your thermostats down below room temperature and see if the noise stops. If so, you've narrowed down the problem.

Thanks for the reply.
It's not related to the thermostat. It's been making that clicking for some time now... probably a 3-4 months. Even in the summer when the heat was off, it would click. I'm just starting to worry about it now since it's winter and I really don't want to lose heat. I'm going to consult a professional, but I just thought I'd take a stab in the dark and try here first.
Thanks,
John
