I visit the forums pretty rarely and don't know if the issues been brought up. On the 90% carrier furnaces there is typically 3 rubber mounts on them but what i have been seeing the past year is that some of these little rubber mounts have been mounted wrong from the factory causing the wheel to scrape. Has anyone else had this issue? I've seen it on new furnaces and replacement combustion motors.

I replace a bunch of those assemblies, and I have never seen that problem. I usually see the plastic fan blades crack or the motors fail. I'll be sure to look in the future.

yea, I ran across this last year on 2 new, out of the box, ventor motors. The guy at carrrier showed me. All you do is remove the screw holding the rubber spacer in place, and reposition it properly in the groove then tighten the screw.
Hope that makes sense, going off memory, this happened last year.....
