Our Day and Night fan does not shut off. No one has messed with any controls on the heater. The temperature responds to the thermostat. However, suddenly today, the fan does not shut off unless I turn the main switch off at the power.
Any ideas?????

Check your thermostat. is the switch that says "fan" thrown to "on" or "auto"?

Thermostat works fine - when the temp is turned up, it heats. When the temp is turned low, it blows cold.
The fan was on auto. I flipped it back & forth (yeah, randomly...) between on and auto - no change.
Could this be due to a dirty filter? I took the filter out & it was horrible. I'm out to buy a new filter tonight.

Well the dirty filter probably caused the damage that is causing your problem. At this point it sounds like you need a trained professional to come out and diagnose the system
