Hi Guys, I could use some advice. Last year I had a new Lennox 14HPX heat pump installed. My concern is that since I primarily heat with a wood stove, the heat pump may not run for weeks and suddenly get a call from the thermostat when it's 5 degrees outside. I have worried about this since it was installed. It already seems to be a little louder than it was new. I was thinking about having a heater and a compressor cover installed for less noise outside my bedroom window and longer compressor life. My unit is a 2.5 ton in which the heater was optional. Good idea?

I install cch's on every install starting this summer....especially in applications that have the heatpump idle for periods of time...I would get one installed.

Thanks Guys, sounds like good insurance against a large repair bill, and maybe a better nights sleep!
