Help with wiring heater mode

An AC technician serviced my AC unit 6 months ago before the summer season. Now that it is getting cold, I have tried putting the heater on, but the air comes out cold. Before I spend $XXX to figure it I need to buy a new heat pump, I want to double check that the wiring was connected properly. Below are pictures of my system. Are any connections missing or do I need to re-wire something before the heat mode will kick in?

Hi dandyme - what irregularities do you mean?

As shown in the picture, the wiring in the thermostat works for cold air (white and yellow wires in O and Y, respectively). Do you know if I am I supposed to jump or move the wires to "B" and "W" in order to get heat?. Right now the blue wire is not used in going from the air handler to the thermostat, and the green wire is not used in going from the heat pump to the air handler.

the heat pump should run in heat the way it is wired ,although there will be no strip heat in defrost or no auxiliary, call the service company back if they wired it that way.

Site rules preclude us from giving direct instructions on repairs including wiring.

Your best option is have a pro come out and make the repairs necessary.

Without seeing the unit even the best of us could provide an incorrect suggestion, if you make a mistake with the wiring you could burn some expensive components.

Probably the way its always been wired. I don't think they need aux heat where he is.
