Thanks for great site & your help with a couple of questions…
Had a new heat pump installed about a month ago and its working great – 3.5t, Rheem RPQL-JEZ with RHKL, Aprilaire2200, Honeywell IAQ. Installer weighed in additional charge for 38’ lineset and checked charge per install instruction (liquid pressure method) – however, per liquid pressure chart it was slightly low (chart says 310psi and gauges showed 300psi) – installer did not want to further adjust charge until weather warmed and could run in cooling to check/confirm charge. Now it looks like it will be spring before we get warm enough weather and am a little concerned about possible slight under/over-charge. Was hoping for your 2nd opinion about charge – is it likely fine and ok until spring to fine tune charge in cooling ? Also, does/can IAQ stat monitor AUX heat use – I can't find anything in manual but thought I’ld ask. Last, have tried both fan ‘on’ and ‘circ’ mode – any opinion which may be better option to keep temps balanced – any opinion if significant difference in long term operating cost – I am thinking ‘on’ for heating and ‘circ’ for cooling (so coil will have some time to drain/dry). Thanks. Tom

I'd be tickled pink with a 10# variance from chart. Often can't get near that close. Sounds like you have a good one if he'll come back next spring to check it in cooling season.

The IAQ doesn't monitor aux use. It will limit it if you have an outdoor sensor installed.

In really cold weather or in humid weather, I'd stay with auto. Otherwise, fan on is best for keeping air moving and filtered. With the motor in the RHKL, it will cost peanuts to do so.

sounds like you have a nice install I would not be concerned with that small difference in the pressure
