I purchased a home built 30 ft RV with a hydronic radiant floor. (5000 btu floor) The system consists of an Everhot 10 gallon tank with heat exchanger and a 30,000 btu diesel fired boiler. System has two circulators, one for boiler/heat exchanger loop and one for floor loop. The thermostat controls the floor circulator only, and the boiler aquastat keeps the water between 100-140 degrees whenever the boiler is turned on. The system consumes quite a bit of diesel. Boiler runs around 10 minutes per hour when it is cold outside. When it is really cold outside it is not warm enough inside the RV, this isn't much a problem since it only happens a couple times a year for a day or so and I am happy putting on a sweater. (boiler came with 2 aquastat's that the previous owner would swap out, a 100-140F and a 110-160F. Can anyone suggust a simple model of outdoor reset contoller that I could use to save fuel. I would need one that runs on 12vdc or 24vac ( I have a 12vdc to 24vac converter). I do not have 120vac. I live in this motorhome full time. Would I be better off to contact a Marine Mechanic or a heating contactor to work on this system? The RV dealers tell me they have never seen such a system. The prevous owner was a heating expert and has supplied lots of info on this system but I do not have contact with him. Thanks

Honeywell has an outdoor reset that will work on your system. A local HVAC contractor can help you with this.

I was looking at the Honeywell products and could only find the Honeywell AquaReset, which appears to only run on 120vac. Please correct me if I am wrong, The teckmar looks like it might work, Thanks

Honeywell has some that use no power.
