Position: Maintenance Technician / HVAC Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the restaurant facility's business goals and objectives.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the restaurant facility’s equipment.
•Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
•Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
•Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
•Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
•Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
•Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
•Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
•Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
•Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
•Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience:

•Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience, preferably in a facility maintenance position.
•Some knowledge of techniques and crafts involved in preventative maintenance, housekeeping, and construction.
•Beverage/fountain drink systems knowledge a plus!


Knowledge of:

•Refrigeration (strong knowledge)
•Electrical and plumbing (light knowledge)
•Standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities
•Safety practices and procedures related to building trades
•Basic math to add, subtract, multiply, and divide


Skill and Ability to:

•Effectively estimate needs and coordinate materials, labor, and equipment; maintain effective working relationships
•Maintain records and prepare reports
•Adapt to changing technology


Certificates and Licenses Required:

•EPA Type I/II/III is required
•HVAC license a plus
•A valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license is required
•Reliable work or service truck is required


HOURS WORKED

Average 50 hour work week. Must be flexibile to adjust to changing schedules, including responding to emergency calls after regular work hours, including weekends and holidays.
