I have a Semco unit with stand alone ALC controls and a BacView. The controls have been nothing but problems, and I cannot get Semco who is 3hrs away to correct it. I have WebCntrl 4.1 but have not used it to access the program. Semco did not leave a copy of the program, I have asked to see the logic, and they would not provide that either. The BacView does not have all of the points available to view. The mixed air is not working and will stay 100% open and not control to maintain the DA-T. The MA-T and DA-T continue to drop until the unit shuts down on low limit. The controller is a I/O Pro 812u.

Any help would be appreciated.

You either need their job file or a clipping from the job for what you have there to just open it up and look at it.

Or you can start from scratch and remake everything. If you already had something to start from on another similar job or can find something in equipment builder this could be a way to go.

It is a little too early for 5.x and being able to extract the job file from the controller yet.

Who exactly are you talking to at Semco? They can send you a wireless modem and they can remotely access the unit but all the times I have used it is when Semco would be 3 states away and was new job still in construction and warranty period.

Mike and Rick, There is alot of history with this unit and I just want to take care of it myself. Semco had to rebuild the structure as it leaked air internally, the controls have been a problem since day one, we have had two sequence changes, and almost had lawyers involved to get that far. This is a surgery unit, and it need's to work correctly, my company has a full maintenance contract on the facility. I need to be able to correct problems and parts over the next 10 years. Semco will not be allowed to remote access the unit, as the hospital will not allow it. Due to past issues.

Can I download the program, or will they have to send it to me? Our local ALC rep will not help as they feel they are stepping on someone else's territory.

OK then how about this.

Is the unit out of warranty?

If so then remove the ALC stuff and do it with your own product to control it your way. You will find that the sesnors in the unit are 10 k sensors type 2 or 3 and most controllers can use that. The humiidty sensor will be 4 to 20 or 0 to 10vdc.

If you can not use the temp sensors in the unit then replace them with what you can use. Its all two wire that you can reuse. And the cost of temp sensors is nothing compared to what you going to make from them as you make the unit work correctly.

Any good controls tech will make it work..
