I haven't had an HVAC tech come out and go over options yet, so I thought I would ask here if this is even an option.

I have a Modular/Manufactured double wide that sits on a full basement. The house is 2000 Sq/ft and uses forced air electric heat. I was reading around about being able to add a wood burner to the existing duct as supplemental heating(furnace is currently in the basement).

The problem is, with the way this house is set up it would be very difficult to run a metal chimney through the basement ceiling and then again through the attic(both are completely filled with insulation) and there is no access to the attic.

The house sits up about 5 blocks off the ground. Would the installer be able to just run the metal chimney out of the side of the basement wall?

Thanks in advance
