Description:
The HVAC / Lighting / Access and Security Controls Sales Representative provides technical information to owners and engineers for control systems design applications. Responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships and customer retention.

Responsibilities:
•Prepare quotes and scope of work for customer projects using take off plans and specs
•Maintain high level of contact with contractors and customer to ensure complete customer satisfaction
•Produce technical presentations on temperature controls applications and demonstrate product features to owners and engineers
•Continually monitor and evaluate engineering project management, and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contract specifications
•Generate point lists/specs concept design for specific projects
•Complete sales process order and convey job specific information to engineering staff

Qualifications/Experience/Education/Knowledge/ Skill:
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or 5 years’ experience related to the installation and sales of temperature control systems.
•High level of understanding of HVAC systems.
•Strong communication skills
•Must be able to read/interpret engineering drawings.
•Ability to develop diagrams or mechanical drawings.
•Attention to detail.
•Ability to use a computer and related software applications to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing or data entry.
•Ability to interact professionally with internal and external (customers, vendors, suppliers, etc.).
•Valid NY State driver’s license is required to travel to project sites.
•Ability to work beyond normal work hours as required and occasional overnight travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
•CEM certification
