Looking at 2 furnaces TRANE XV90 92% efficient or LENNOX G61MPV-36B-070 94.1% efficient. How big a difference does that really make on my heating costs?

Don't know Trane numbers to well, I work for a Lennox dealer. It looks like the Trane is variable speed from the numbers. I know that the Lennox is a two-stage heat with variable speed blower. Looks like the efficiency is 2.1%percent higher also. 70,000 btu heat. Wild guess on the Trane because I don't know the numbers, but it looks like the 90 in the model number may mean 90,000btu??? If it is the same as the Lennox btu wise, just by looking at the numbers I would say that the Lennox is 2.1% more. Trying to be diplomatic, because I do like Tranes.

You aren't gonna notice much diff, if any even, on the gas bill between 92 & 94% AFUE. Those are both nice systems, either will do just fine if properly sized & installed.
