This is the official hotel of the 2006 HVAC-Talk Convention. The Paradise Motor Inn. 141 West Main Street.

I have booked 30 rooms. We will get a $10 per room discount for booking as a group. This is important. When you reserve your room you must tell them that you are attending the "HVAC-Talk Convention." in order to get the discount.

Here are the rooms that are blocked:

Economy:
5 King Showers. Group rate $85
5 King Full Bath Group rate $90
5 Doubles Full Bath Group rate $90

Premier ( rooms w/ patio or balcony & full bath)
5 King group rate $98
10 Doubles Group rate $98

Continental breakfast of coffee, teas, juices , fruits, pastries and yogurt is complementary. The rate is per room is for single or double occupancy. There is a $10 charge for each additional person. VT tax of 9% is not included.

ROTFLMFAO !!!! When you call to book your room......... ADAM IS A MAN !!! I did not hear the name when the operator picked up , I made my reservations , the whole time thinking I was talking to a woman , the whole time I am answering "yes mam" to everything !!! I go to hang up after writing down comformation # and ask for their name , it was ADAM !!!! I felt like a total A$$ !!! I said sorry and HE went on to say that it was OK he gets it all the time. I felt bad and kept saying sorry , but the damage was already done !!! LMAO
Anyway BE CAREFULL when you call !!!

My room is booked , 2nd floor premier with a balcony , ;) . I am looking forward to it , you guys that like to wait till the last minute , you better jump on making your reservations , I have a feeling 30 rooms will run out quick this year .

I just booked my room, with Adam, when I was done I said, it is this Adam, he said yes it is, I said someone posted on here that you sound like a woman...he said yea...I hope he didn't mind that.:D

I only see a buildup of Mary's in Beantown. We have Mary Lou, head whipcracker at BCH, aaaaaand Mary the secretary at BCH. So of course the woman I got at the hotel was Mary too. They all sound alot alike too. So if you call Beantown and get what is most likely a woman, ask if it's Mary. Odds are good it will be if it aint Adam. Every woman I've talked to in that town is Mary Sumpthin so far, 100%.

So that no one is scared about being mugged by fags let me set the record straight. Vermont does have a civil union law. That is mostly for and about money. Bennington is the 4th largest Town in the State. We have no gay bars, no gay parades, no gay recruitement offices etc.

Most of the same sex civil unions that you hear about is the 2 girl type. They generally run a bed and breakfast off in some little cutesy town like Dorset or Wilmington.
Bennington has a service/industrial economic base. Folks go to bed early and get up early and go to work. Only we have no rush hour traffic, no unemployment, and a low crime rate. People mind their own business unless you need help. If you need help they will go out of thier way to help. Be it, giving directions to tourist or raising money for an new ambulance.

Ain't likely that you'll find any strip joints around. The nearest ones are in Albany NY or Springfield MA. (how would I know that?)

This convention is going to be a laid back no hassle weekend. Eat, drink and make Mary. :D

Okay another history lesson.

Benedict Arnold defeated British General John Boudyone at the Battle of Saratoga. One of the reasons for the defeat is because the British had planned on getting resupplied at Bennington. But that plan failed because their attempt at getting resupplied was ended with the Battle of Bennington.

Saratoga is about 50 miles from here. Your may also know Saratoga for its fameous racetrack. Today is the opening of Saratoga racing season. This event has an enorneous economic impact on the whole area's tourist season. "Its the August place to be." as the C of C's put it.

Now I'm getting to the point of this post. :) The tourist season starts with the opening of Saratoga and it ends with Columbus Day. Our Convention is in September. It is time for you to say, "Okay, we are going to Bennington!!!!!"

The hotel is giving us the special rate up until Aug.20th. (Not that far off.) When last I checked they still had a few rooms set aside for the HVAC Convention.

It is hard to find a hotel room without reservations during the tourist season. So please think about doing it now.
