Ok guys I am not a commercial guy just had a buddy who is going through a tough time and wanted to help him finish a job. how do you wire them he wants to get the system to shut down R power to the whole unit on a smoke sense? the model is dh100acdclp and the noisy part is apa451> any help is aprreciated

Should be fairly straightforward although I don't know that model # off hand.
First thing you need to do is power the logic of the sensor all the time with the unit transformer.
Then there should be NC dry alarm contacts on the sensor, run the 24v hot leg (right before it goes to the unit circut board) down and back up through these contacts.
The annunciator (noisy thing) should be just two or three wire hook up depending if it has sound and lights.

If there is no fire alarm system, have it break the control circuit if it senses that it is re-criculating smoke.

in the control compartment the power is in the left hand side either 24 or 120 volt and the control contacts are right just use the nc contacts for unit shut down.
