How long are you seeing these ing. controllers lasting?
Example G779 series, S86 series. Also they take a low input voltage and convert it how?

providing the input voltage is stable, no spike or nasty stuff .... they should hold up a number of years without a peep.

inside the black box, so to speak, there is a circuit which takes the 24 volt AC and converts it to DC volts. This is what electronic circuits operate on.
You feed the ac into a diode bridge and out comes the direct current.
