Hey folks,

I have a red seal in hvac/r and have used delta controls for about 5 years (programming, installing, servicing). I'm living on the east coast right now and I am looking for a bit of a change. How are things looking for a 30 year old tech in that neck of the woods?

Thanks,

Tim

everyone claims to be hiring but nobody is, a found that a lot of companies have taken on the agency mentality of lying to collect resumes for future hires. I remember I applied for a job last year, the guy calls me up, I go in for an interview and he has me fill out a bunch of forms with my personal info like I got the job. We go back into the office and he tells me that he has no work right now but is hiring for the future in maybe 4+ weeks

Anyway, he did the same thing to 5 other people before me, he had files for everyone and he showed it to me. He is still hiring today, or let me rephrase that, he is collecting resumes but has no jobs to offer...LOL

If you want to come here, than apply and come only if you have a job, otherwise its a gamble..unless you're a gambler:lol:

If you have a ticket you shouldnt have an issue finding work in ontario. I just started in the field and let me tell you entry level positions are virtually non existant. Virtually all the places I applied to wanted a minimum of 3-5 years experience.

x2, if you have a ticket here in Ontario not hard to find work.

And if you have commercial experience and want to go to niagra falls honestly cant see that being a problem either as you proly know ...casinos..hotels out the ying yang theres work for sure. But really if your just looking to get away from the east coast theres tons of work for a licensed tech in the GTA and southwestern ontario.
