Well having been an office of the church several years ago and getting a real education, eye opener, or baptism by fire as the case may be, I have stayed away from the belly of the church so to speak. Got a call last week from a youth starting his conformation class. He asked if I would be his mentor during the term of the class. After much thought (prayer) I agreed. Even though I dislike the politics of the church I can not refuse his request. So if you have had a bad experience, like mine, don't let it stop you from helping someone start their faith journey.
