So I went on a "not working very well heat pump" call
Suct was 45 high side was 200psi OAT 70 degrees.

Liquid line was 75, chart says HIGH side should be 250 so I
add 4 lbs to get to 250 PSI.. [TXV indoor]
low side got up to 55-60
This is 410 so should have been like 105-110 psi as I recall.

Course I checked for airflow b4 hanging the gauges on the outdoor unit.
So after added the 410 I visually checked the indoor TXV and the feeder tubesand the bottom 4 elbows were frosted..

TXV is bad.. Does that diagnosis seem correct to you wise old pros??

But I couldnt find the sheet for the defrost board and it was flashing
[1 led] either a fast 3 or 4.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Was this in cool mode? 250 still sounds like low refrigerant even at 70 OAT. Check your subcool. I would expect to see 300 on the high side.

The chart says at x liquid line temp 250 psi
in the cool mode.. In heat mode I expected more than 99 degrees heat. Double wide
manufactured home. I've seen Rheem heat pumps put out 130 air.

Landlord is responsible for heating, but not AC here in oregon. 2500 hours heating and 400 hours cooling. So Im planning another discussion with the renter about contacting them for a TXV replacment.

I cant seem to find a service manual online, Do you know where I could find one.

Thanks LB!! Now I can think aobut it a bit more.. Im sure the TXV is TU though..
Look at the charts, My suction never gets up to even 100 thats like very close to freezing.
and the TXV and feeder tubes frost up..
Now to chat with the landloard..
thanks again!

This is the third time recently that I've heard or dealt w this Trane coil issue. What is your superheat at vs. Where it's supposed to be? If you have a high superheat, it's for sure your TXV is not throttling properly or stuck. Your getting low flow through the TXV, hence the frost. It's always best on low pressure issues, before you add refrigerant, check your superheat and sub cool. Tells you a lot about the system. This is just my advice based on what I've heard.
