Before I continue..Carrier issue

Issue - Upon a call for cooling, compressor comes on. About 10 - 20 secs later it cuts off.

LED flash code was slow blink "Fault Retry"
After 3 tries, it goes into fast flash..LOCKOUT

Water flow and temp was good.

I verified voltage, supply and control..OK

Pressures were 70/250..all corresponding to indoor temp and water temps.

I jumped out every safety in the unit one by one...same result.

I narrowed it down to the CXM board must be bad.

I have a new one installing it now.

But before i bring it all the way back to the pulpit and install it again, I would like to verify and test the unit.

Is there anything else I should look into before I go with the CXM board being the reason?

After you got the fast flash lockout, what code did the CXM board flash ? You will have to momentarily short the test pins on the CXM board to get this code.

Do you happen to have another unit onsite that uses the same board that you could swap it out with to check to see if the fault follows?

I told him how to get fault code in his other thread on this subject. those units will also flash for the performance sentinal feature on those units which should be disabled in your situation

Is it still going off on that under/over voltage alarm? If so there is a way to disable that alarm but that is a last resort. Which it sounds like this is where you are at.

could be a bad sensor or sensors are reversed

Did you find the reason it is locking out? you might want to determine what caused the board to go bad. The possibilty exist that when you replace the board it might cook the new board.

What was the fault code? I didn't notice it unless I over looked it. Some of these boards can get a little expensive.
