I was watching it this morning and it looked like they washed (hosed off) a dynamic air cleaner. Anyone else notice it?

I saw that episode. Didn't they have the frozen Carrier canned ham outside?

YES, it was a canned ham!!

The contractor said, "it was just her filter." Shows them pulling out the dynamic and then stating that it is a washable. Priceless. Reminds me to do my job the right way, you never know who might be watching, but dern, if you are on TV you might just want to order the lady a new filter media. I am sure that powerhead on the EAC took a dive.

The show has its moments. First time I stumbled across "Holmes Inspection" I first thought of John, not Mike!

That must have been the episode with the long line set.

A lot of my customers say they run their electronic air cleaners elements through the dishwasher! I usually hose them off too, and instruct the homeowner to reinstall the next day when the elements are completely dry.

Why make the customer do anything, why not just use a paint brush to brush everything off?:.02:

doesnt remove electroplated dirt... which is hard to get off...condenser coil cleaner works effectively...you'll see how clean you havent been getting them

I'll try some coil cleaner, I guess I thought that would somehow harm the elements.

I used to run a EAC cleaning route once a month. I soaked them in Cascade dishwasher detergent. Worked just fine
