Could people tell me who the largest U.S. manufacturers of chilled water air handling units are? I am specifically interested in manufacturers who make air handling units for liquid chiller applications. It is for a research project on which I am working. Thank you very much.

Are you talking about fan-coil units or water source heat pumps?

McQuay is another very large manufacturer.

I work with air handler marketing in my company.

Trane is #1, but York and McQuay took a lot of market share from them in 2005.

outside rep there are plenty of sales and enough work
out there for everyone who does a good job must the battle
between factories go on some people like chevys some like fords same with equipment.each company makes some good
product lines and some bad ones also.so why cant we all just share info between service organizations and get over it we are all in this trade together.look and I said all
of that without saying anything bad about anyone.

I think the largest would be Carrier, then Trane, then York then McQuay.

Carier does make one right ? and they are the largest manufacturer.

Or are you asking who makes the most chilled waiter air handlers?

Sorry Outside Rep, but you're wrong about where most chilled water AHU's are made:

York, McQuay, and Trane are all made in the USA.

Carrier just moved to Mexico from Tennessee (and paying a terrible price in late deliveries). They may be the largest overall manufacturer, but they are a distant 4th to the other three in the standard AHU market (as measured by ARI). If you include some of the custom AHU groups (which do not report sales to ARI) that have consolidated into larger compaies in the past few years, they may be even further behind than that.
