I have a trane RTU mod#YCD074C3LGBE we are contemplating removing units from Trakker and using good ole t-stats...question is what is r,w,g,y etc etc etc on RTU terminal strip?

I believe your talking about a voyager unit, if so you need to purchase a CTI (conventional thermostat interface) board
approx $200 bucks before you can even use a standard t-stat
also by using this stat you lose some of the features of the ucp board.

Shawn,
I suppose that this is a Voyager RTU. You will need a CTI and a copy of the Black Book. This is a Voyager tech manual. Good luck.

why don"t you use trane electronic stats, you will still be able to use the features of the ucp board and they are cheaper than installing cti boards, if those units were on a tracker system before is there not at least a zone sensor wired to terminals 1&2 allready, you may have to just disconnect the TCI board only if you wish to take the tracker out of the system.

you are better off leaving them on the Tracker. YOu get time of day control and alarm notification. possible you should find your real problem is not fixed by installing RGYW stats.
