Problem with York Predator DH150

Hope someone may be able to help. We have a York DH150S204DAA3 package unit that keeps locking out in cooling with an alarm code of 9. According to the code list this is showing an ignition board lock out.

Checked both compressors pressures 200 head 73 suction 10 degree SC, 8.1 RLA. First stage runs all the time with no problem, when second stage is energized it will run 8-10 minutes then the board will lock out with the 9 code.

We are thinking a bad board but just are looking for any other input.

the only thing i would check prior to agreeing that its possibley the board would be the voltage .. it is dirty? how bad is the drop when it starts and is it stable on full load..

9 is a code for the heating control section. I have the predator training manual. It says. A nine flash code indicates a problem in the heating control section. The UCB monitors the gas valve voltage and W1. This alarm occurs if a heat call W1 is made but the voltage from the gas valve is not read for a continous 5-minute period. This alarm code will also occur and the fan will be locked on if a voltage is sensed from the gas valve but there is no W1 call.

I'm not sure. One of my techs called me last night asking about the problem. The unit is at his church that we service. I'll ask him this morning.

Thanks for the info. He said there is no call for heat but I'll have him double check he is not getting and voltage on W1 when the second stage calls or if there is voltage at the gas valve when second stage calls with no W1 call.

Hold on your first post was about circuit 2 cooling lockouts. A heating alarm shouldn't be affecting just circuit 2. U may be reading the wrong boards alarm

With no W1 call and no damage to cabling or the board, its time to replace the board.
