I dug it out of the attic. Must have bought it a year or two ago for outside but didn't put it up. So I opened it:

Please read these instructions completely before starting assembly. Please separate and identify all parts/accessories making sure you have all the parts/accessories.

Then a diagram showing the spiral Xmas tree that a 7 yr old could have drawn except: They show two poles to hold up the spiral and I got three. No prob, you need three to get the height. But, the three little stakes aren't shown. Oh well it is going in the house anyway.

STEP
1. FIXED THE POLE INTO THE BASEMENT
STEP
2. DRAW THE WIRE END AWAY TO THE TOPE OF THE POLE INSET IT INTO THE WHOLE ON THE POLE.
STEP
3. INSERT THE FIVE STAR INTO THE TOPE OF THE POLE.

Gotta love those Chinese interpreters over there.

It makes more sense than if I wrote it in Chinese for them.
Or if they just left it in Chinese.

I taught an entry-level HVAC class a few years ago that had one older lady in it.
She wasn't a rough ol' gal.
She was a very well dressed, refined lady.

The rest of the class was a mix of wannabe mechanics.

Her entire reason for taking the class was to learn the terminology to translate into a foreign tongue.
I wound up proofreading some of her technical papers, before translation.

She was working for Carrier, translating instructions.

(I wonder how many actually got read.) :p

Back in the late eighties Fujitsu Europe has Germany as it's main HQ. Thus the Japanese would be translated to German THEN from German to English!!
