This is a Tecumseh M# AVA2512ZXNXM. S# OA4047111. low temp condensing unit on 404A. I need to change out the H.P and fan control pressure switches. Question does anyone out there know if the manifold that the switches are connected to have shreader valves in them or am I going to have to pull the refrig charge to change out the switches.
Thanks.
if i had to guess i would say, have yet to see one with them

Ring the manufacture
we manufacture condensing units and we leave the core in
for this very reason.
If you do not want to drop the charge
Imperial make a tool (PINCH OFF TOOL 105-FF)
here is the link
http://www.stridetool.com/tools/hose_tubingtools/servicetools_01.html
this tool pinches off your pipe cutting supply of refrigerant to the fan cycle , so you can replace
without interference to the charge , when replaced it has rerounders of different diameters so you can reround your pipe and let refrigerant flow to the control.
MANITOWOC recommend using this tool on their
ice machines as to not interfere with the factory
charge when changing their fan cycles.

Thanks for the replies, got in touch with tecumseh tech line
they verified that the manifold did not have schreaders fitted, and that a pinch off tool could be used or remove the charge.
thanks.
