Suction Line size reduction on ductless unit.

We're bidding to finish up a job started by another contractor. 1/4 x 1/2 lines are in the wall but owner wants a unit installed that calls for 1/4 x 3/8. Any experience on this? Feedback as to any consequences? We neck em on multi zone units but the line sets are correct so a concern about larger volume of 1/2" line. We've seen it servicing other "not our install" units too.

contact manufacturers tech service department and give them the model #'s of the equipment and total line length. That way you don't run the risk of voiding any warranties.
