If you are a tech you should already know what the issue could be.

Maybe you are not qualified to answer the question so please dont bother with your worthless replies. Ive been in the business for 5 years and have not come across this issue befor on this kind of equipment in a real world situation. So I thought I would give it a shot on this website. Maybe I was wrong in thinking so. Why are all hvac techs. that I come across are soo grumpy all the time and not willing to help others and think they are gods. Im sure at one time in your job you had to ask a question you werent sure about. GO POUND SALT!!!!!!!!!!

Get your post count up and apply for pro membership then. Read the site rules that you applied for, it says no DIY help. If you were a pro member then we could help. Oh and I corrected all of your spelling errors, all you have to do is right click and fix them. Have a great day!

can you tell me why you go on the defense so quickly? Nothing he said is out of line. If you've been in this trade for 5 years you should be able to figure out what the causes are. We don't do diy on this site.

Lol....GO POUND SALT...I've never heard that, funny stuff. If your not smart enough to put more details (i.e. readings, temperatures and pressures)in your question maybe your not qualified enough to be working on that machine. best of luck to you bud

Read the rules of the site. Basically get your post count up to 15, submit credentials and get pro status. The rules prevent us from giving you the info you are seeking until you attain pro status. Some very intelligent folks on this site with a ton of knowledge and the generosity to share it.

As far as your question, I am confused. You say that you already know that it is a metering device failure, but then state that you have never troubleshot one before. What is it that you are asking then?

Monkeyman, I have never had to replace a metering device befor. This unit has 2 devices that are wired to it. Are they plug in devices or are they soldered into the line. Was trying to use this site while i was waiting for york tech support to call back. Anyways thanks for the info on site rules.
