The story:
New Construction, upgrading builders grade Carrier units to Carrier Infinity System. The problem: Upstairs has 4 bedrooms with doors and only 1 R/A in hall. Requested that R/A Grilles be added to each room and Infinty Control moved to master bedroom. But this way, the system will only be able to control the temp in the master bedroom. What is the best solution for this situation? Zoning is not an option right now because of already expensive price to change to Infinity. Was thinking about using Remote temp sensor in R/A duct, but cant find out if any on Carriers website are compatable with Infinity. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Keep stat in hall close to return then install jumper ducts to connect bedrooms to hall so the return will have a path back to the equipment.

What about remote sensors to average the temperature in each room? I am not sure it needs anything, unless the space is really big and the carpet is sealing off the air under the doors, but just an idea....

What about properly balancing the feed into the rooms per the load calcs and saving all the grief of trying to fix it with controls?
