I signed up for the EPA test ...take it on Nov 16th. Any last minute suggestions???? I made 200 3x5 "flash cards" and the people at work have threatened to beat me if I don't pass and they have to listen to me reading the test ?? over and over all night..or even think about playing that test preparation cassette tape out loud ever again. :)

Yes, study everything you don't need to know.

follow outside reps advice and then in a couple of years you can come here and ask a question on some subject that you should have remembered. Any and every time you learn something new, it benefits you.

I dont remember it very well ,but there was a table of numbers and dates:
"before 1992 and 25 inches vacuum",something like that.

making a formula to help remember that thing should be good for a few points.

I remember nothing that would be used in the day to day service of A/C equipment being in my test. Who cares what the date is that it became illegal to vent refrigerant. As long as you know that you can't do it, the date seems irrelevant.

200 flash cards.

Its only 100 questions total.

Your going to make yourself paranoid, relax.

I haven't taken it yet but my buddy told me there was one Question on there that asked you what color is a recovery cylinder?

I know the answer Yellow and gray but to me thats a stupid question waste of time

If you're taking it at a supplier, where they give you a class in the AM, then lunch, then the test- don't eat lunch until after you take the test. You will remember more and do better.

thats a stupid question waste of time

unless you are a pink cylinder or a blue cylinder or you try putting something in a cylinder that is not rated for the pressure required

then it becomes a good question.....but you are a rookie so that is why I gave you a good answer

I just took mine a couple of weeks ago. It was a last minute thing. It was a 6-hour class and 2 for the test. In all honesty, I never would have thought I would ever pass that test. I only missed 1 from each catagory. Just try to use everyday things that you do to help you remember your studies..
