Greetings all from another newbie.

Have lurked for awhile and am impressed by the active, intelligent discussion on display at HVAC-TALK.

Yes, it is true, I am an electrician by trade. Know just enough about HVAC to do something stupid and really screw things up. My reason for joining this community is 1) I will be having one of my HVAC systems replaced this fall, and expect to have plenty of questions; and 2) Have some questions now about an A/C unit at my daughter's house.

I see the red writing, so will save questions for the proper forum. The question in the title is more rhetorical and doesn't need to be answered. If I was a plumber by trade, I'd be too worried about acceptance to admit it.

Electricians? Sure. I bet you could steer alot of nec questions and misconceptions down the right path.

Understand the pricing rules or you will quickly get trampled.

You don't have to check your junk at the door here (to the same extent)like you do at mike holts, however be warned, pro- cowboys posts are forbidden.
