We installed an air handler heat pump only and left in the "heritage" condensing unit. Customer complaint of unit not getting below 76 degrees. I have a high side pressure of 350 and a low side pressure of 70. Outdoor coil is clean. Restriction----possible. Anyone else screw around with mix matched systems?

Trane & American Standard are the same company.

You are right.
Just like Cadillac doesn't support General Motors.
My point is, the equipment is built in the same factory, by the same people, and are almost exactly the same (different paint).
American Standard owns Trane.
You could have done worse on mismatching the brand name.
That being said, brand mismatch is not the problem.
Post some model numbers.
Did you check superheat and/or subcooling?

Maybe not, but A.S. & Trane A/H's are exactly the same in design & looks. Even the A/H model #'s are the same with Trane & A.S. Give us the model # & we'll try to help.
