As you probably know from my other thread, I've been shopping around for a new furnace since the end of August / early September.
A few weeks ago, a giant oak in my back yard broke in half, so now I'm calling tree cutting companies too (while I love my chainsaw, there's no way I'm dicking around with a 100 ft., 3 foot wide oak hanging over my shed!!!). So my cell phone is going off a lot with bids, etc.
The other night, I get a phone call at around 9:30. I answer, and someone says, "John, it's [Joe Smith]. I'm calling about you looking for a bid on a job."
So I start telling him, "Well, it's a big oak, and while you're here, I need some stumps ground......" He interupts and says, "Oh no, I'm a heating and air conditioning company."
Long pause.
I said, "I called you a month ago!!!!!!"
"Well, we've been busy, and my office girl's been on vacation."
Too busy for me to spend a dime on, that's for sure.
