Have bidding contractors do load calculation on the home. Should be standard opps. in bidding process.

i have a 100 000 btu now but they are saying 7500 without doing a calc should i belive them?

It is possible for you to make this determination yourself. If you are willing to invest a little time and a few dollars into it. You can do your own heatloss eval, and feel better about the size of equipment going into your home.

they can't tell you for shure without a load calc. they are quessing.

There is a Loadcalc software available that will allow you to do one home , for a fraction of the price that a contractor pays for the version that he can do an unlimited amount of homes with.
I need to get some sleep. there is a link to a good program at the top of the page, it is in red, a lot of use it, it is easy to use and gets accurate results.
