I have/had to change out 4 of these CFM on some old Carrier units. The box has a knock out in it but I don't want to just stick the wires through the hole whith no protection. Is there anything made for that I can use like a MC fitting or something similar?

Actually Carrier uses a cable end connector for those fan motors. The wires are wrapped with an insulating cloth then connector is tightend down. You should still be able to pick up some from your carrier dist. :.02::cheers:
