Maxter, Sounds very interesting. I am from the NY/NJ Area, but have been living on the Outer Banks of N.C. for 10 years doing HVAC. Most of my tenure I have worked for Train Comfort Specialists. I have always flirted with moving back up North but wanted to land a union job.
Would you elaborate some on the job and where to apply. This sounds like a GREAT opportunity and I would love to continue working with Tranes while getting a much coveted Union job. Thank you.

Aint that the truth Berger lol. Not just punch tubes, but you will have the luxury of working with the most disgruntle absorber and centrifugal mechanics in the industry. Then, after your 5 years of punching tubes and being the senior disgruntled techs lil helper who has not shown you crap in 5 years but how to sleep in your van and new ways how to do nothing, you will go to Carl and Chris for a 5 cent raise only for him to pull out your personal folder that he has kept of you and tell you all the things you have done wrong and why they will not give you the raise when truth is it will end up coming out of their year bonus they don't tell you about. Besides that they do have good training seminars for employees they feel like giving them to... :D

I have worked for Trane Ny/Nj for over 12 years and they treat you
the way you treat them. I never had a problem getting anything from them.
And a helper is there to clean tubes, listen and learn. If he works with
someone who doesnt teach him then he needs to speak up. Besides all the
corporate crap they are a good company to work for.

It seems like you have a lot of ill feelings towards the NYC Trane office and the people who lead it. That's all fine and dandy, but you should never, EVER put out anyone's name in slander. The only person slander like that would hurt is you, because it is a reflection of YOUR character and not the person you are slandering. I've read some of your recent rants about the NYC Trane office, and you've put out names there, too.
Apparently, you had a bad run at Trane and you obviously feel that it isn't your fault at all. Remember, it takes two to tango, and what you put in is what you get out. If you do a good, clean job, hold up ethical standards, have the ability to learn and progress, and actually FIX equipment, then no one will EVER have a problem at the NYC Trane office.

You talk like there are no politics or any influence by others that will make it hard for you to do your job properly regardless if you fix all of your jobs or 1. I have no ill feelings towards Trane office. I got along great with many people there and still do to this day. The original person who ran Trane service when I was hired, Bruce, was what made Trane service. Once he retired the service dept. went to hell. You write here acting like if you do a great job servicing equipment for Trane you will never have a problem with the 2 who run the service dept.. You need to wake up and smell coffee because by that statement you obviously haven't worked for Trane LIC.

Dont get me started on Trane LIC.
Some people get away with murder and some do whatever they want.
I spent 11 years there you have to hit em high pay wise or deal with 35 cent raises.
Could have been a great place to end a career but the people running it are for lack of a better word, clueless.
