Smells in Air Duct

When I start my air conditioning up, I get a fart type like smell. Can someone help?

To answer your question,for farters...ooops .... starters....one would have to be a real fart smeller.....ooops.....smart feller.

mine had the same smell last week pull out the filter and look at the evaporator mine had 100% blockage with a black sludge like substance i changed the filter every 20 days for the last 6 years since new but i never had service performed on the evaporator i would periodically look down at the evaporator from the top which looked clean to me but never from the bottom what a suprise!
