The outside unit of my heatpump has gotten very dirty as a result of tree sap. The housing and blades are covered with a dark, sticky residue. Does anyone have any recommendations re: a product that can get rid of this? I assume this doesn't hurt the system at all, but it is definitely very unsightly!
Thanks for any help!

If it's on the outside of the heatpump, it's most likely blocking the coil. Call for a professional cleaning.
