I would think knowing the amount of material it takes to make the lock should be known as there are various;1"-1-3/8"ETC. ALSO, WHAT maximum GAUGE OF METAL WILL IT HANDLE?
Having this info now just may save an unnecessary phone call.(long distance)

I'm very interested if the price is in my range. Where are you located? As this is quite a heavy piece of machinery I don't want to get killed on the shipping costs. I live in Western Canada but have a US shipping address as we are only 20 miles from the border so shipping should not be an issue. Check out my "Credentials for my email address if you prefer to commincate that way"

nymike;.... wow ..24 1"...now that was a lengthy reply. I hope you didn't hurt your typing fingers too much.
Anyway,a 24 gauge, and only a 1"lockformer is too small for for the fittings that I want to fab...min 20 gauge,1-3/8" (larger hammer down edge)
If I want a small lock of 1" I can easily bend (hand break) one up by the time that thing you got will finally send it through... lol

deejoe go hang out in the commercial section, we don't seem to use a lot of 20 gauge metal in residential.

Lockformer makes a pittisburg machine reted for 20 gauge

a superspeed 20 that runs at a pretty good clip

their 16 gauge runs a little slower but I think the one deejoe is talking about is a Flager, that folds a pittisburg lock. by the time it gets through a 10 ft piece you could just about eat lunch and still have time left over for a nap

BA keep in mind that new that ss 20 can be had for around
2100 gallons of gas

Nymike, take it easy. With that last amount of strenuous typing, your finger may be too sore to flip the switch on to demonstrate your machine..

Mike is that what the junior cost up there in New York?

So for those that are asking about the flager it has a 1/2
hp motor on them and it will do 30 feet per min.

If you're a small guy that only does three to four houses per week then this would work fine.
They have serve me well and I'm ok at that pace the 1/2 hp will do.Also if you ever had the need to carry it to the job site it does not require a forklift to do so.

Just spray it down with some lubaroll every now and again and it will pay for itself.
