Hi Folks - I recently installed a new system and the AC is a 17 seer Bryant Evolution (2 stage, variable speed) with the evolution thermostat. Although I can feel the fan speed vary, how do I tell which stage the AC is running at? The thermostat never says which stage (I think).
Thanks

Is there a reason you need to know? Is the system not maintaning the temperature?

No, the system is great. I am just curious. I was thinking the thermostat may display the stage...

You can get this information under the advanced set up menu. Hold the advanced set up button for 10 seconds. Then select service, and then AC status. You will see the current cooling stage, blower RPM, air CFM, and static pressure. You can get similar information under furnance status.

the led on the right side of the face of the stat will glow continually to show which mode( cool, heat) your in, once the machine starts the led will pulsate, slowly when in low speed and faster when in high, watch it and you will see the diffrence
