Its pretty much the 87V that is completely sealed and water tight. The 28II has a couple extra features such as pulse wdith and a two-level backlight. I use a 87V and am very happy with it.

a close friend of mine has actually been doing some field testing for fluke with the 28-2. there are a few kinks being worked out of the programming, its a great meter but i would wait a few months and wait for it to be updated. My friend is pascone10, maybe pm him and see whats going on......

I was just going off of flukes "compare multimeters" section and it says the 28II does and the 87V does not.
I haven't even used the backlight on my 87V as I just got it and am now in school. I was probably incorrect.

Do you know if the cell phone GMS issues with the 87V are also a problem with the 28II ?

As far as I know it only effects the 87V
