does anyone know if an indoor heatpump coil could explode if heatpump is running with back up propane at the same time

can't think of a reason it could, unless several unfortunate things occured in the correct order

Would it be running in heat or cool mode ?

well i put an arzel heat pump pro zone control in a house about 6 months ago.with a ruud gas furnace and ruud heat pump.the main t-stat is a vision pro.had to go back on it yesterday the heat pump hand kicked on in a/c.i checked the program on the board and it was back to factory set wich if in heat would have ran both thinking it was hp with back up electric.just want to make sure if it happens again in heat it wouldet fill the house with refrig.

What is this "out door" you speak of ?

Pretty unlikely it would explode, but it would be detrimental to the compressor if you ran the gas and HP heat at the same time for an extended period on a dual fuel system.

True and maybe in defrost mode only.

not a side job and not over my head just a worry wort and looking at worst case if it would have reset like that in winter.arzel is cool about it and sending a new board.they said static must have caused the reset of the board
