Well I got to break in my Sman3 yesterday. First thoughts where very solid feeling. Did a couple of AC pm in the morning worked out ok. Had a very low system in the afternoon core leaking. Replace core and try and refill system. To get from 27psi up to 64psi took well over 30 minutes. It would not feed the R22 into the system. Not sure why it took so long. The low side pressure reading would take so long to stabilize I finally put on the Testo 550 to refill the system. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this.

I tried. Even tried throttling liquid in letting it vaporize in the suction hose.

new hoses? sounds like you didnt have the schrader pushed in very far, the thick seal on a brand new hose can sometimes cause that problem, sure sign is the suction takes a long time to drop back down when you are charging

when u have that happen, your not getting the valve pushed in much, u have pressure building in the hose, it should go threw quickly, use channel locks on your fitting to turn it tigher and push the valve in, that was the problem.

Do not over tighten your fittings. My hoses have an adjustable valve core depressor. Check to see if yours is also.

Just loosen the schrader A bit ! Only problem ive had and still have is that the sman3 won't allow me to flow liquid into recovery drum.

i just went out and turned the depresser out past the end of the black gasket. See how it works in the morning. It was in deeper than the gasket. New yellow jacket hoses with 1/4 turn valves.

Well did a compressor change out today and the Sman3 worked flawlessly. Even the micron gauge worked great. Took it down to 400 microns and held and said stable. Recharged the system and everything worked great.

Well after a steady week of use I can report no problems at all. I have charged with them I have pressure tested with them, I have pulled a vacuum with them, Blowen liquid into the recovery bottle with them and just did plain AC tune up with them. I have used R22 and 410A with no problem. I will be modifing the clamp I use on the liquid line as the line is small and the clamp just needs a little bit of a spacer on the back side to make a better grab on the front face for the temperture. But over all great piece of equipment.:putergreet:
